A clear and deliverable plan 2023/24

Many of the concerns raised by Welsh Government were linked to how we are set up as a Health Board (our governance). If we are to provide the best possible health and care for all, then we must be set up in the best possible way. We are now focused on having the right plans, processes and procedures in place in order to provide the best value services for our population.

Progress made

  • We now have an Integrated Planning Framework which has been developed and approved by the Board. This means we are in a better position to plan across all our services.

  • We also have an Integrated Performance Framework has been developed and approved by the Board. This means we are in a better position to understand performance across all our services.

  • We have a plan for better money management

  • We have trained over 400 staff in how we buy and pay for services.

  • We are developing our Annual Plan as well as a plan for the next three years. These will take our response to Special Measures into account and make our approach ‘business as usual’ amongst the wider priorities for the Health Board.

Future plans

  • Agree and publish our Annual Plan
