Local Assessment Centres have been set up to help reduce disruption to GPs and primary care services. Local Assessment Centres are not testing centers. They will not offer testing for COVID-19, and will see patients by appointment only.
Patients who need to access treatment and services should telephone their normal GP practice first to seek assistance. A healthcare professional will then call you back to discuss your care needs.
If the support requested is not related to COVID-19, you may be invited to attend your normal GP surgery or a neighbouring practice for further assistance. If it is suspected that you may have COVID-19, then you may instead be referred to one of the Local Assessment Centres listed below:
Patients will be given clear instructions on what to do when attending an appointment at a Local Assessment Centre to ensure the safety of each patient, their carer and the staff at the centre.
The team at the Local Assessment Centre Centre is made up of healthcare professionals already working in your local community and GP practices, and you may be seen by a GP or nurse from another practice.
GPs across North Wales remain open, and are taking appointments by phone consultations. If you need to see your GP or access care, please phone your surgery as normal to seek assistance.
