We are working hard to ensure that those waiting for planned appointments and treatment are seen as quickly as possible in order of clinical priority.
We are asking patients not to get in touch with us, as they will be contacted directly about their appointment or treatment by the service.
We apologise for the lengthier waits patients are experiencing but it will take a significant amount of time to get our waiting lists down to pre-COVID levels and unfortunately, many patients will continue to face long waits for treatment.
To help reduce waiting times for outpatient appointments we are working with private providers SHS Partners to reduce our waiting lists.
Patients within General Surgery, Urology, Ear Nose and Throat, Maxillo Facial and Gynaecology are being offered an appointment in order of clinical priority and length of wait.
We are delivering more orthopaedic surgical procedures across North Wales to ensure that the longest waiting and most clinically urgent patients are treated as quickly as possible. We understand how distressing it can be for those awaiting surgery and we will be maximising our capacity by increasing the use of our operating theatres at Abergele Hospital. This is in addition to the increased number of procedures we are undertaking at Ysbyty Gwynedd, Glan Clwyd Hospital, Wrexham Maelor Hospital and Llandudno Hospital.
