Assessment and Tools

To assess your child we use assessment tools. Different tools are used depending on the information we have gathered from your family and professionals. Sometimes more than one tool will be required and this is not uncommon, particularly if your child has a number of different needs that we should consider.

The types of assessment tools we commonly use are:

  • QB Test - The QB test is a diagnostic screening tool, which provides objective information to aid the assessment of ADHD.
  • ADI-R - Autism Diagnostic Interview.
  • ADOS-2 - Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule.
  • WISC - Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children.
  • DAISI-R - Detection of Autism by Infant Sociability Interview (Development history of a child).
  • BOSA - Brief Observation Schedule Autism.
  • CONNORS - The Connors or CBRS is suitable in assessing children ages 6 to 18.
  • The Young DIVA 5 - Diagnostic Interview for ADHD in young people aged 5-17 years old.
  • Speech and Language Assessments.
