Ablett Unit Redevelopment

Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback on Betsi Cadwaladr University Heath Board’s development proposals for a new mental health facility at the Glan Clwyd Hospital.

The outline proposals are to provide a new facility to replace the existing Ablett Unit. The new facility would allow for an improved model of care to be provided which would better meet the needs of patients now and in the future.

The proposed new facility would replace an existing area of car parking within the hospital. The existing Ablett Unit buildings would be retained by the hospital and re-purposed for alternative uses. Completion is planned for 2024.

All comments received will be considered and will assist the project team in developing the proposals.  All comments will be treated confidentially, and no individuals will be identified when comments or feedback are reported.
